Profile[]

Appearance[]

Sandra is a middle-aged woman with long purple hair. She wears a metallic headpiece and metallic pauldrons lined with red orbs. She wears green robes.

Personality[]

Sandra is a kind and loving mother to her children. She is very knowledgeable about the world, sharing her experiences with Carmaine and Louise and being the creator of the homunculus, Tippi.

Story[]

Prior to the events of the game around 17 years ago, Sandra found an abandoned Carmaine. Due to a prophecy surrounding his future, she decides to raise him in solitude, along with her biological daughter, Louise.

She arrives back at their house, introducing Tippi and telling Carmaine and Louise that she is a homunculus, a being born of magic. She then tells them about Carmaine's destiny which could greatly impact and influence the world. She tells them that it relates to a prophecy about his future, wherein he will either become the destruction that rends the world or become the light that will save it. She explains that she decided to raise him as she had wanted to develop him a strong heart, being that his future actions would have great influence on the outside world. She tells Carmaine that it is now his own path to choose, telling him to look forward to meeting new people and having new experiences. Sandra then gives Carmaine some Elm to go shopping, telling him they will continue their discussion when he comes back.

When Carmaine comes back, she asks Tippi about what she thinks of Carmaine. After hearing from Tippi, Sandra goes back to their discussion. She asks Carmaine about where he wants to go, mentioning that going to another country might be difficult because of the required formalities. Sandra mentions that Carmaine has always had visions of the past or of places that he has never been and asks him what he's seen recently. After Carmaine tells her about his dream, she suggests that the location may be the old ruins located northwest of the capital near the coast. She suggests that he look there for answers, while also giving him some Numbing Spheres on his departure. Sandra tells Carmaine that he is always welcome to come back.

After Carmaine is found in Sandra's laboratory inside the castle, Sandra asks Tippi why she wasn't able to communicate telepathically with her about this, with Tippi being confused on why. Sandra then asks Carmaine how he got there, with the latter mentioning he doesn't remember. As the group tries to ponder about why Sandra's book would be stolen from the laboratory, Sandra mentions that it contains information about components for magic crystals. She explains that the magic crystals need to be saturated with Growshu in order to contain magic. Sandra then goes on to mention humanity's past, stating that they came from a different world and transported themselves to their current world as their previous world was on the verge of destruction. Upon arriving in the new world, she mentions that some of their people lost the ability to use powerful magic, as Growshu had been plentiful in the old world yet the new world had none. Sandra goes on to mention that only Growsians have the innate ability to channel Growshu, due to how they're born. Due to space-time distortions where the two worlds closely overlap, she states that the old world is occasionally apparent in the unconscious minds of people born during lunar and solar eclipses, hence their innate connection the Growshu from the old world.

Sandra contemplates that there may be a potential to create artificial Growshu using her research, allowing people to use powerful magics without having to be Growsian. In response to this incident, Sandra decides to perform more experimentations, apologizing to Louise about being unable to do their magic training. She tasks Carmaine and Louise with delivering magic-infused glasses to a man in Deris Village named Wallace, departing right after and mentioning that she'll be in her laboratory and that if anything should happen, to come to her castle.

A wounded Sandra is then attacked in her laboratory by strange individuals who are unaffected by her magic. Carmaine and the group arrive to save Sandra, exterminating the invaders and rescuing her. Sandra wonders how they were able to arrive, with Tippi exclaiming proudly that Louise used Teleport to get them there. Sandra praises Louise, stating that her Growsian powers are awakening. She mentions that because Louise was born during a complete solar eclipse, she has very potent magical talents. The group decide to go back to Sandra's house to recuperate.

Sandra makes a comment that her magic didn't affect the invaders as they weren't human but flesh golems which are derived from human corpses. She mentions that they might have been trying to pursue her book as it may contain research they can use for their own purposes. Sandra also comments on Carmaine's growth, telling him that he should start putting what he's learned into practice. As she tries to continue her sentence, she collapses, visibly wounded and ill. The group tries to give her the strongest antidote they know but it's to no avail as the doctor confirms that she will have a month to live since the poison wasn't cured. The group decides to approach the Featherians about a cure for her ailment while the doctor watches over a bedridden Sandra.
