Lumis Lichtmann (ルーミス・リヒトマン Rūmisu Rihitoman?) is a character from Growlanser IV: Wayfarer of Time. He is a renowned researcher for Dulkheim who cultivated the use of spell stones.

Leading person of the magic research in Dulkheim. It is said that if it were without him, the utilization of magic stones would have been ten years later. When he immerses himself in research, he forgets food and rest.
Story[]
Lumis is first encountered in Saudrick following his rescue from kidnappers. Crevanille, Remus and Vallery were tasked with locating him and escorting him back to Fort Leinfaltz for his own safety. However, Lumis was kidnapped in the inn at Saudrick, being carried in a bag as the group first enters the inn and is told by the inn keeper that Lumis's room was ransacked. The trio realizes that Lumis may have been in the giant bag, prompting them to run after the kidnappers. Crevanille's familiar volunteers to look for the kidnappers and locates them, allowing the trio to rescue Lumis.
After being rescued, Lumis tells the group about some nearby ruins that he would like to have explored. The group with Lumis in tow arrive at the tower where they ascend it to the top floor. Upon arriving to the final room, they find a young woman encased in a glass coffin. Unfortunately for the group, they discover that an angel has arrived to destroy the tower. Lumis uses an escape spell to save the trio and the young woman. They arrive at the tower's entrance where they bury the deceased Dulkheim soldiers that had been guarding the tower. Lumis suggests that they go back to Fort Leinfaltz, being escorted by Remus and Crevanille as Vallery had decided to escort Frayne on his own.
After arriving back to Fort Leinfaltz, Lumis becomes an instructor for the Dulkheim class with regards to their education about magic.
Following Abrams's death and Ludwig's departure from the fort, Lumis is promoted to a lieutenant colonel and serves in the battle against Iglesias. He meets Bauer who is convinced by Lumis to save a town despite tarnishing the Alten Schwart brigade's reputation. Bauer and Lumis succeed in their strategy and ultimately encounter success in the war, managing to overtake Fandelcia from the previous lord. He meets again with Crevanille and Remus in Fandelcia. Remus reveals that it was Lumis who told him to save the Dulkheim Ruin Children who were taken for experimentation, lamenting that it shouldn't have even happened. He tells Crevanille and Remus that he won't tell Dulkheim anything about their whereabouts.
