Description[]

Part of the Mayfield family, a line of Iglesian nobility. She means well, but she is sometimes naïve.[1]

Background[]

A daughter of the Mayfield noble family. She was raised sheltered as a lady, so she has ignorance of the ways of the world, and her pride is high. Once she decides something, she dislikes turning from it. Eliza's ring weapon takes the form of a spear.

Story[]

Eliza is first encountered by Crevanille and Remus while they talk to Porak. She asks Porak about her order and leaves for her villa right after.

Eliza finds the group once more, inviting them into her villa to recover following their shipwreck. Remus reveals to Crevanille that Eliza is actually from Iglesias and escaped from the war by moving to her villa. Christopher arrives and informs Eliza that Dulkheim has taken control of Iglesias. Shocked by the news and the thought of what's happened to her parents, Eliza asks to be left alone.

Following the invasion of the port of Marquelay, Eliza is seen talking to Sydney about her new neighbors. Eliza insists on allowing development on the land, stating it is also a good opportunity. She requests to speak to Crevanille about a matter and departs for her villa. At the villa, she reveals that she would like to request the group to escort her to the Fandelcia region to discover what happened to her parents. After accepting her offer, she takes Crevanille to go shopping in Marquelay. She suggests that they go to Porak's shop where they find someone in dispute with Porak. She and Crevanille convince the merchant girl to find Gordran about opening a gift shop next to the museum. Eliza then tells Gordran that she would like to purchase some battle equipment, as well as provide Crevanille with a medal to purchase Spellstones sold by their merchant guild.

On the way back to the villa, the duo spot Christopher with another young woman. Eliza warns the girl about Christopher and starts berating him for his salacious ways, telling him it'll also affect Alfonse's reputation. Christopher tries to Eliza he loves her but she rebukes him and departs with Crevanille to the villa. They make note that the girl resembles someone they know.

Upon arriving back to the villa, they tell Remus that they saw an older girl who looked like him, prompting Remus to rush back to Marquelay. Finding him in Marquelay, he reveals to the group that his father had told him about an older sister. When the group arrives at Ordinale, Eliza makes note to visit a "certain mansion". Eliza goes on to talk about the lord of Ordinale, Alfonse and is annoyed by how different Christopher is. Christopher arrives and irritates Eliza further, stating to the group that his brother's home and that they should go in. She greets Alfonse who tells her to rethink her decision to go to Fandelcia. Eliza storms away from the room while Alfonse tries to convince Crevanille to reject her request.

In a foresight vision, Eliza stews angrily in her room as she ponders Alfonse's comments about being a burden, performing something drastic at the end of the vision. In the morning, Eliza reveals a new look and officially joins the party, stating that she'll pass through an underground tunnel to get back. Christopher decides to accompany the group as he has business in Iglesias.

When the group arrives in Fandelcia, Eliza decides to stay behind Crevanille to avoid suspicion. Upon seeing her mansion occupied by Dulkheim soldiers, Eliza becomes distraught and departs from the group, with Frayne following her to see if she's alright. Eliza and Frayne are encountered at the inn where Eliza is wondering what took Crevanille and Remus so long. Eliza tells the group she has to tell Levan about her father and that she's relieved he had survived by fleeing.

Upon departing Fandelcia, Eliza expresses her frustration at the Dulkheim invasion, unknowingly upsetting Frayne when she asks her about a sensitive topic. When Frayne is fetched by Crevanille, she apologizes to Eliza who apologizes as well. The group then departs to Valkania, with Eliza suggesting the location of the tunnel is a huge hole to the east.
